Shoveling snow

After two or three snowstorms predicted for us but delivered somewhere else -- one to Virginia and the other to the north of us -- the storm predicted for last night and today has arrived on schedule. Four inches or so fallen, drifted in spots to more than eight. This morning I shoveled for about 20 minutes, doing my bit for the household I share on many weekends. Cleared the legally-required walk, which will have to be done again before lunch. Didn't get the walk from the back door to the cars. Maybe next time.

Discovered I'm good for a 20-minute cardio workout, which was good to know. Back and legs tightened up a bit, but not badly or for long. I need better gloves though -- fingers didn't rewarm for half an hour.

I want to be working on the memoir.
